The Valley Public Television Ready to Learn program is part of a PBS nationwide movement to meet the national educational initiative, mandating that preschoolers will go to school "Ready To Learn." Blending PBS educational children's programs with a treasure chest of early learning tools, Ready to Learn workshops teach families and caregivers how to build preschoolers' learning skills and encourage a child's natural curiosity and love of learning.

Ready to Learn workshops are for small groups and designed to train parents, teachers and daycare providers how to use television wisely. Participants receive a kit that includes children's activity books and support materials. Workshops are available in both English and Spanish for preschool educators, caregivers and parents. Workshop attendees receive a training certificate from Valley Public Television as well as ongoing program scheduling, content information and suggestions on how to benefit from each children's program.
