In today’s economic climate, increases in job loss and income cuts have left many families struggling with covering basic costs like housing, medical care, transportation, food, clothing and child care. Dawn has been with The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for 10 years.  HUD is a Cabinet level Federal agency which handles housing issues.  HUD’s mission is to increase homeownership, support community development and increase access to affordable housing free from discrimination. Dawn’s work at HUD includes developing new collaborative partnerships, increasing community use of HUD programs and funds, and improving HUD’s service to its end customers.

¿Qué hace un consejero de vivienda?
Consejeros de vivienda sirven para abogar por ti. Ellos se comunican con tus prestamistas y recaudadores, contigo, para encontrar opciones que puedan salvar a tu casa de ejecución hipotecaria.

¿Pago por esta ayuda?
No. Agencias de consejo de vivienda sin fines de lucro, aprobadas por HUD, ofrecen ayuda gratuita. Esté consiente de estafas y agencias que intentan cobrarte por sus servicios.

¿Cuáles son algunas de mis opciones?
Un aplazamiento o indulgencia de morosidad temporal, una modificación del préstamo, una venta al descubierto (conocido también como venta rápida: un acuerdo con el banco que la casa se venderá por menos del saldo de la hipoteca y el banco está de acuerdo que va a aceptar lo que se reciba de la venta como pago total de la hipoteca), Deed in lieu (DIL) of foreclosure (Escritura de impedimento de procedimiento ejecutivo) son opciones que pueden ser explicados a ti por un consejero de vivienda.
