  1. Lawrence Walker Says:

I have had a dramatic reduction in my income by over 50% in the last year due to the industry I work in and how the economy has effected it.

For the past 6 months I have been working through a non=profit agency (NACA) to get a loan modification by reducing my high ARM rate to a lower fixed rate. Recently they contacted me to tell me of a loan mod on my behalf to consider. However in the last six months my income has continued to decrease and the Hope Now Act passed by congress in April seems to making progress. I want to be considered for that the Hope Now program and according to the HUD website, I qualify for it. Specically I want to be considered for a payment of 31% of gross income which is lower than what NACA has propossed. I have contacted NACA without much luck as they told me if I refuse what my lendor (BofA) offered them I would be in risk of not getting either modification. Please offer your response and recommendation.
