I have contacted and applied for loan modification on a defined predatory loan several times since 2007. I was forced to retire because I was denied reasonable accommodation or return to work or modified work and my salary had been reduced to half. Countrywide (loan co.) stated that I can rent a room out to make ends meet and that I could not get relief because of my temporary total disability pay in February 2009 shows that I should be able to afford the adjusted mortgage payments. I contacted KVPT and the 211 number for assistance. The loan assistance group identified themselves as Global mediations aka NM Processing LLC and had me work up new documents along with my new hardship letter. They were in constant communications getting my documents completed until I paid the $600 fee several weeks ago. I was weary because I been through and through with the Countrywide representatives since 2007 and said I do not qualify for the loan modification because I am not in default.

I called 211 since it was advertised by KVPT and they told me they, Global Mediations should be on the up and up and even contacted Paypal consumer group and they could not verify any fraud or problems at that time. They (Global Mediations) have not returned any of my calls and when I contact the 800 referral number, they state they will relay the messages. I believe this is another scam that is using your public radio KVPT advertisement and other resources to do nothing but lip service. Please warn others like myself that are in this mortgage crisis of this scam. I have made several calls about this activity and no one seems to care. Again please warn the public of this scam.

I have been waiting on a home loan modification for the last 5 months with Chase. I have mailed them everything and continue to fax all my updated information. They never call and tell me what they need from me, so I am now calling them twice a week to get the lastest updates and see what else they need. I feel like all I get is the run around and they keep telling me it’s in underwritting. I was even told it was denied called back the next day and was told it had not been deined. Now they say it could be 30 to 90 days until I here about it again. I Can never get a sraight answer from these people. Do they even know what the there doing? I have asked to speak with a manager or supervisor many times and have beeen deined each time. What is that about? I just wish there was someone who could give me a straight answer.

  5. Mr Long Says:

Fix your credit and get out of debt. Do not get discouraged. If the underwriters believe that the person with the bad credit can make payments, they may refinance with no closing costs. All of this is what makes it very hard right now for a home loan for people with bad credit. So what does that mean? If you have bad credit, it got that way for some reason. But, above all things, let us consider compare mortgage refinance rates first. There are absolutely no feelings in this department. It got me thinking though about the future of compare mortgage refinance rates. First of all, currently, there are literally hundreds of thousands of mortgages that are in default.
