The End of an Era
Since 1989, Jim Tucker has welcomed more than 1,500 guests to the set of Valley Press during the program’s 675 shows. Jim recently announced his retirement from Valley Press, and the announcement has been reported in the local media with both sadness and effusive praise for Jim’s contributions to the local media landscape. About Valley Press
Valley Press was created in 1989 as a "local meet the press" public affairs program. Its purpose is to respond to current issues, news makers and politicians on a weekly basis. Over 450 shows have been produced.

Now in its 19th year, Valley Press brings valley viewers a weekly array of news makers and reporters discussing the top news story of the week. Guests have included California. legislators, members of Congress, the Governor of California, the state's treasurer, the vice president of the United States, and a member of the British House of Lords.
 
Jim Tucker has been practicing the fine art of moderating between reporters and news makers from local to national prominence on Valley Press for over 16 years. In addition, Jim produces and moderates political debates and local specials.

A member of the Fresno State journalism faculty since 1968, his areas of expertise include media writing, news reporting, editing, mass media & society, and broadcast news. Jim has worked as a newspaper reporter, radio newsman/announcer, and magazine editor.
 
Oscar Speace is the Producer/Director and creator of Valley Press. Oscar has over 20 years experience in commercial and non-commercial television. He is also a screenwriter and playwright.
